About us
We are a group of Japanese and foreign residents of Joetsu. Our goal is to provide information on temples and events in Takada's Teramachi, thereby promoting tourism in Joetsu City, and contributing to revitalization of the local economy.
Willem Kortekaas (Representative)
A former banker and consultant, now retired and focused on historical research, writing, and photography. Charlie Stratton is a bilingual educator, former free school director, and 35-year resident of Joetsu. He helps curate meaningful, cross-cultural experiences in Joetsu, Myoko, and Teramachi—highlighting the deep history and living culture of this special, under-known region of Japan.
